Youth Alliance

Pre-Apprentice Program

The Pre-Apprentice Program is designed to prepare individuals to enter and succeed in the construction industry through a registered apprenticeship program. Our training is a great way for participants, ages 18 - 24, to explore an exciting career in construction. We provide:

Transitional Housing Placement Program

This program provides affordable housing and comprehensive supportive services for up to 24 months to help former foster care and probation youth make a successful transition from out-of-home placements to independent living.

Program services include:

- Vocational training services
- Continuing education services
- Subsidized/affordable housing
- Individual and group therapy (not mandatory)
- 24-hour crisis intervention and support
- Full educational counseling and mentoring
- Community events, dinners and activities
- Transportation vouchers and grocery gift cards

Program Requirements:

- Maintain full-time hours of work and/or school
- Make timely rent and utilities payments
- Establish educational & career goals and work towards those goals
- Attend weekly case management meetings

Youth Alliance Apprentice Program

Typically consisting of multifamily housing projects, the pilot Youth Alliance Apprentice Program is modeled after the highly successful YouthBuild program administered by H.U.D. This program is designed to provide education, mentoring and extended training opportunities for numerous trades in the construction industry. This program provides our kids hands-on job training while increasing the stock and improving the quality of low income housing in the community.

Hands-on Training

Our housing development projects provide our youth with opportunities for hands-on training, internships, and work experience to pursue careers in the real estate, project design, and construction industries.

Revenues from our real estate projects fund the acquisition and construction of our Transitional Housing Placement Programs, as well as the youth assistance, continuing education, and vocational training programs.
